Skye Londyn Lowry has demonstrated a caring heart from the earliest age. Her compassion for other children around the world has caused her to ask many questions and offer many solutions.
Even at the age of 7, one issue that has always disturbed Skye, is the idea that children could go to bed hungry. Being the daughter of the founder of No Child Hungry, she has participated in meal drives and meal-packing events with No Child Hungry and has had many exchanges with children from here in the U.S. and in other countries.
Many discussions have taken place on the drive to and from school every day with her mother and father. Her mother was often emotionally touched by the disturbance Skye expressed and has looked for meaningful ways to provide opportunities for Skye to address her concerns.
In September 2019, it occurred to her that Skye loved bows. She wore one almost every day. She decided that she and Skye could make bows and use funds from the bows to provide No Child Hungry meals. Since that very day, they began to make bows and committed that for every bow sold, 5 meals would be provided to hungry children.
So, buy a bow for your daughter, your granddaughter, or as a gift for a special young friend and feed a hungry child in our world, because . . . No Child Should Go To Bed Hungry!!!!
